Jerry Wexler

Jerry Wexler, music producer and co-founder of Atlantic Records, shown Oct. 17, 1979. A moving force in soul, jazz and rhythm and blues -- a term he coined in 1949 -- died in Sarasota, Florida on August 15 at the age of 91. For more on Jerry Wexler's career, see the article on the Press Democrat.
