At 2.97 mile Spring Lake County Park course, used since 1988 Course cold and wet from first storm of the year. Almost no one came close to their best times on course this year. Varsity Boys Montgomery picked up it's 15th pennant since 1976. Vikings have now won 3 of last 4 with Santa Rosa taking 2001. Montgomery showed great depth with 5 of top 11, 7 of top 16 and their JV team of runners 8-13 on Viking team averaged 20:50 which would have placed 4th in the team standings if they had run in the place of the top 7. Leland's 17:47 ties her with Handel for the 8th fastest time ever. Leland moved to 5th on the Junior Class list ahead of Aldridge with Blanchard's 17:56 moving her to 7th. Blanchard improved her school record with the 10th fastest ever. Blanchard's 3rd place finish is the highest ever for a Rancho girl, replacing the 4th by Magdalena Valterova 1992. Handel, Baker & Drady were the only Seniors in the top 21.
