Maurice White, a freshman out of Rancho Cotate who starred on the SRJC
football team, got off to a good start on the track team by winning the
long jump and triple jump in the non-scoring Bay Valley Conference Relays
at SRJC.
White won the triple jump in 45-5 and the long jump in 21-8.
SRJC's top performance in the women's meet came in the pole vault where
Nisana Andersen (Ursuline) beat teammate Saheer Kassis (Casa Grande) at
10-feet with fewer misses. The school record is 10-9.

Santa Rosa swept almost all the events at a meet at Bailey Field against
Butte College, Mendocino, Yuba and College of the Redwoods.
Winners for the men's team were Maurice White, who won the triple jump
at 44-6 and the long jump at 21-7.
On the SRJC women's team, Trina Cox won both the 800 and 1500 meter.
SRJC's Nisana Anderson came in second in the 100 high hurdles at 24.72 and
first in he pole vault with 10-6.
