SCL championships
At Spring Lake, Mike Becker and Ashton LeSieur of Casa Grande scored victories over the soggy
2.97-mile course in the league championships. Analy and Healdsburg boys tied for the league
team title, and Petaluma and Analy girls also tied.
Empire runners advance to the North Coast Section championships Nov.20 at Hayward.
Becker won the boys race in 16 minutes, 4 seconds, beating Tim Quiorga of Healdsburg by
three seconds. Jonathan Teeter of El Molino was third in 16:25.
LeSieur edged Petaluma's Taylor Parks by nine seconds, winning the girls race in in 18:36.
