COLLEGE TRACK
   Stanford University's Sara Bei had a regional qualifying time of 4:21.66, finishing fourth in the women's 
college division 1,500 meters at the 31st annual Stanford Invitational.
   Bay is a former Montgomery High School All-American.
   Nike's Nicole Teter won the 1,500 in 4:12.77.

BEI ON WINNING RELAY
   Stanford senior and former Montgomery standout runner Sara Bei ran a leg on the Cardinal's winning 4x1,500 
relay team at the Penn Relays.
   The relay team of Katy Trotter, Amanda Trotter, Bei and Arianna Lambie clocked a time of 17 minutes, 38.16 seconds.

SRJC TRACK AND FIELD
   Bay Valley Conference champs Tyler Guillory and Melissa Van Paris lead Santa Rosa JC into Saturday's (5/7) NorCal 
Championships at Modesto Junior College.
   Guillory, a sophomore from Piner High School, qualified in the shot put, discus and hammer. Van Paris, a 
freshman out of Sonoma Valley High, qualified in the same events and the javelin.
   Guillory was selected BVC most outstanding field athlete after winning the shot and discus in the conference 
meet and finishing second in the hammer. He had the best NorCal qualifying mark in the discus (153 feet, 8 inches) 
and the hammer (159-6) and the sixth best in the shot (47-9).
   Van Paris also earned BVC field MVP honors after winning the shot and discus and placing second in the hammer 
and third in the javelin.
   Her shot mark (42-8) is the best among NorCal competitors, is third in the discus (118-01) and fourth in the 
javelin (127-1).

   COX QUALIFIES
   Former Santa Rosa High standout Trina Cox, who is on full athletic scholarship at Abilene Christian University, 
has qualified for the NCAA II track and field championships. She also made the cross country nationals earlier in 
the year for ACU.
   Cox won the 3000 meter steeplechase (10:43.99), the 5,000 meters (17:45) and was second in the 3,000 meters (10:13) 
in her conference championship meet.
