Maria Carrillo senior Ryan Aldridge added to his family's rather prestigious running history by winning
the North Bay League cross country championship last week.
Ryan's dad Dan Aldridge, who also happens to be the Pumas' coach, won a high school league cross-country
championship for Petaluma.
Ryan and Dan were poking fun at Jenny Aldridge, Dan's daughter and Ryan's sister, saying she could have
made it a triple feature by winning a cross-country league title. Jenny was second to Ukiah's Amber Trotter
in 2001 and third in 2000 and 1999.
But Jenny is the only family member to win a track state championship, capturing the 1,600 in 2000 as a
sophomore. Her dad was a runnerup at state in the 800.
