Wentz's only loss of the year to another Empire runner was by 8 seconds to
teammate Kristen Sanzari at the first meet of the year.
Wentz went on to win the NBL Championships and the NCS division II Championships.
Wentz had the best placing of any Empire girl at State with her 11th place finish at State.
