Sara (Bei) Hall and husband Ryan Hall both qualified for the Cross Country World Championships April 1-2
in Fukuoka, Japan. Both Bei, a former standout at Montgomery High, and Hall ran cross country and track at Stanford.
Ryan Hall won last weekend's open 12K race at Van Cortlandt Park in New York.
In the open women's 4K race, winner Carrie Tollefson, Lauren Fleshman and Sara Hall worked together to
build a 10-meter lead over a chase pack. Hall finished sixth as the top six qualified for the world championships.
Ryan Hall won his race in 34:38, 27 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
``It was probably the most fun race of my life,'' he said. ``It's my first 12K. I'm not the best in the
mud and slop, so I was happy that the ground froze.
I am really excited to be going to the worlds with my wife, Sara.''

Results: Sara "Bei" Hall 6th 2006 USA Cross Country Championships (usatf)
