Santa Rosa High will host the 24th All-City track meet Friday with field events starting at 5:30 p.m.
and running events at 6:30.
The first All-City meet, with all Santa Rosa high schools invited, was held in 1975. There have been
brief stoppages, but it has now been held continuously since 2000.
Maria Carrillo girls and boys won the team portion of the meet last year. This year the Carrillo girls
and Santa Rosa boys enter unbeaten in NBL dual meets.
Some of the top girls competitors entered, include Santa Rosa hurdler Suzanne Howard, Carillo middle
distance and distance runners Kristen Sanzari and Leanne Fogg, Montgomery shot putter and discus thrower
Corrine Rich and Ursuline high jumper, long jumper and triple jumper Kasey Lashinski.
Admission for the All-City meet is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Santa Rosa track coach Doug Courtemarche also promises great weather and unforgettable tri-tip
sandwiches at the concession stand.
