Coastal Mountain Conference Finals Preview Submitted by Harry Skandera, Santa Rosa Christian Here are the best renderings of the CMC for this season so far. I cannot confirm the CMC North but this is what I understand to be the standings. As we head into our Conference Meet Skylar Thomas of Mendocino is the odds-on favorite to win the Boys Race, while Grace Hafner is the favorite in the Girls Race. There are three championships to be decided in each race. The North and South as well as the overall CMC Champion. In the Varsity Boys Upper Lake is a slight favorite over Willits in the North, while SRC is favored in the South. Overall, SRC would be a slight favorite on the basis of their undefeated dual meet season, but Upper Lake, Willits, and Rincon Valley Christian all have a legitimate possibility of winning. In the Girls’ race, Sonoma is a slight favorite over SRC on the basis of a one-point dual meet victory on their home course, but SRC bested Sonoma in the CMC West Invitational at the beginning of the season. In the north it is too close to call between Middletown, Cloverdale, and Willits. Overall it should be between Sonoma and SRC. In the JV Boys, SRC is undefeated and should win its first JV pennant. There are no JV girls. North Boys Upper Lake – 3 points Willits – 2 points Cloverdale – 1 point Clear Lake – 0 points Ft. Bragg – 0 Middletown -0 Lower Lake -0 Kelseyville -0 South Boys Santa Rosa Christian – 3 points Rincon Valley Christian – 2 points St. Vincents 1 point Sonoma Academy -0 St. Helena -0 CMC North Girls Middletown – 2 points Cloverdale – 2 points Willits - 2 points Ft.
