POLE VAULT RECORD

It is believed that the highest vault ever cleared on Sonoma County soil is 16-6.
Best info so far is that both Tim McDonald 1978 & Brett Hyatt 1981 cleared that height
at Bailey Field competing for SRJC.

2002 Maria Carrillo grad Jake Arnold will be trying to surpass that mark May 1st at
Santa Rosa All-City Meet.
Arnold cleared 17-4½ while competing for University of Arizona in 2007.

Arnold is currently one of the best Decathletes in the world. In 2008 Arnold had the 20th highest
score in the world at 8191.
Career Highlights: 3rd at 2006 and 2007 USA Outdoor Championships; 2-time NCAA Outdoor champion.
Arnold won the 2007 NCAA with a PR 8,215 score.
