Jean Lightfoot, Maria Carrillo High School graduate 2006, now throwing at UC Santa Barbara recently at the Ben Brown 
Invitational at Cal State Fullerton, threw the Hammer 173-4 feet, placing her third on the top 10 hammer throwers 
list at UCSB. Jean, a red-shirt junior has only been throwing the hammer for the past 2 years.

The mark moves Lightfoot to number 2 All-Time in the Redwood Empire.
