By Jim Crowhurst (Not at meet) Arnold vaults to the #5 Empire jump ever clearing 15-0 to earn a trip to state with a 3rd place finish. Matt Tillinghast is the #2 underclassman of the meet in 7th. Arnold wins his heat of 300IH at 40.05. Melissa Van Paris is off to state with a big put of 38-3.25 to take the last spot to go at 4th. Maurice White had a huge PR in the LJ soaring 23-0 to become the 4th Empire boy to ever win following Mel Gray, Montgomery 1966 Rob Moore, Santa Rosa 1986 Dan Littlefield, Sonoma 1997 Dan Littlefield, Sonoma 1998 Chris Weaver 21-7.25 and Brandon Simpson 21-6 were ever so close to the 4th spot of 21-8. Same with the girls as Caroline Templeton 17-0 and Maggie Farrar 16-11.75 are just off 4th at 17-4.5. Templeton is the top underclassman of meet. EA boys 4x1 comes up with an Empire Prep best at 43.74 but misses advancing by 1/100. Top 3 times in 1600 trials Aldridge 5:00.87, Robinson 5:01.84 and LeSieur PR 5:01.87. Kinley and Withers PR 4:21.70 advance in 1600. Nick Cho one spot from qualifing with a fine 15.43. Danielle Sanzari blazes a 58.50 Prep Best but also misses by one spot. Number three sophomore ever. 56.83 Wendi Simmons Santa Rosa 1985 57.82 Roshawn Perkins Point Arena 1998 Robbie Snider cracks the 50 mark with 49.98 to advance in 7th. Kim Handel advances with a PR 2:18.38. Regan Masi's 1:56.66 joins the other sub 1:58 runners to advance. Jenni Kincheloe runs #3 time of meet 45.51 to get El Molino school record. #4 Empire time ever. Leonhardt 25.78, Clouse 26.18 & Stranzl 26.25 take 9-11. 8th 25.74. MC girls 3:59.63 advances with #4 time. Prep Best. MC boys grab last spot at 3:25.39. Prep Best. Top from Empire Guillory SP 7th 50-3.25 CG girls 4x1 13th 50.68 Crigler 100HH 10th 16.16 Leonhardt 11th 12.62 Harris 14th 11.41 Buckerfield 14th 22.76
